Staff were all very friendly and helpful. I was able to pay the city tax by card, and leave my bag securely as I waited for my connection. Scrambled egg was available but was extremely watery. Breakfast: Served from 7am-10am, I arrived around 9:30am daily and there wasn’t much left but I was able to scrape together a few items like bread, cheese and meat. The walls were also very thin and I could hear a lot of noise from other rooms talking and music, phones going on, morning alarms, footsteps and beds creaking. I unplugged the TV and fridge to try and resolve but was not successful. There was a loud electrical buzz constantly, which kept me awake on the first night. There was one thin pillow provided, I would have preferred two personally. No English language entertainment channels on the TV. The minibar was empty in addition to this. The room was missing a few key items, including a security lock on the door (?!), a kettle and mug (despite the pile of teabags found in a desk drawer, pictured) and a breakfast service card. A previous guest had also left open milk in the fridge. The room hadn’t been cleaned well, it was dusty and there was dirt and debris on the floor around the bed. The window faced a blank wall, so there was no view and limited daylight. The ensuite was clean and the shower was lovely. It was larger than expected with a comfy bed and lots of storage. I found this intimidating as a solo female and avoided staying out after dark because of this. At night, however, it was heaving with stag-dos and rowdy groups, as the clubs and stripclubs opened. Area was fine in the day, busy with lots of fast food and popular shops nearby. Location: 15 min walk away from the river, so great for walking to all the sights.
